The In-Between

Whenever you’re in a conflict with yourself, you’re in the in-between.

🏔️ Going off of our newsletter two weeks ago, the in-between is the section of the path that is in-between the two parts from the path of purpose; losing yourself and trying to find yourself again.

It’s the part where you’ll find yourself again, but you’ll never know when.

🪑 It’s the part that tires people out so much they stop walking it entirely.

It’s the part that is so daunting, people don’t walk it in the first place.

But it’s also the part that reaps the most benefit.

📚 Now while there’s no quote of the week this week, I want to emphasize an important Stoic principle that teaches you why you should walk down this path; and that is the principle of dealing with destiny. 📚

The Stoics believed that our lives were destined. Fate ultimately chose our destiny; however, they also believed that destiny wasn’t achieved through inaction.

🚶 It is achieved by walking down the path of the in-between.

Simply put, you can’t sit down on the couch and wait for something to happen, no, you have to work for it, because that’s what fate wanted you to do.

And the issue is, most people don’t reach their destiny because of how difficult the in-between is. There is constant failure, discomfort, and worst of all, constant confusion of what to do.

🌅 But remember one thing when you’re struggling with this: Stoicism advocates for this path not because of what you’ll gain at the end of it, but more so because of what you discover during it. You discover doors of opportunities that open along the way, but most importantly, you discover yourself.

FYI: Let me know what you guys think about the video! This is the first time I tried doing something a little differently so feedback will be appreciated :)
